Dinosaurs Weighing a dinosaur A P F 15 min Students find the volume of a replica dinosaur made to scale (available in many museums) by immersing it in a displacement can. It is then necessary to convert this volume to the volume of the full sized animal. As all animals have a density of about 1g per cc the volume in cc can be converted directly into weight in grams and then into tons. Dinosaur tracks at your school  A P F 30 min Make a dinosaur trackway at your school so that your students can make deductions about height, type of dinosaur etc from it.  Take a piece of hardboard 45cm square and cut from it the shape of a dinosaur footprint. Use the outline to spray brown paint onto a concrete surface or onto grass in the pattern of a trackway.
